Whenever you're creating digital scrapbook pages that will be printed in a published bound book, make sure you leave at least 1/4" margin around all 4 sides of the page. You'll notice when you print your digital scrapbooks, the publishers will usually cut 1/4" margin off every side of your picture for binding purposes. The last thing you want to find in your scrapbooks is partial words and pictures.

When creating digital scrapbook pages, remember that the colors you see on your computer monitor are not always the same when they are printed on photo paper. I learned this the hard way, and when one of my first digital scrapbooks that I ordered arrived, I realized that the baby yellow color I had used on most of the page backgrounds was actually a very ugly grayish yellow. I had spent over $60 for this album and was quite upset. If I had only printed some sample 4x6 pages from my scrapbook at my local photo shop, I could have avoided the whole situation for under 20 cents! So, remember as you create your digital scrapbook pages, the colors you see on your computer, may print slightly different on photo paper!
